Martha Groves Perry is a San Francisco original indie rocker combining evocative, visceral songwriting with a voice like salty potato chips and dark chocolate to crystallize often unexpressed core emotions and insights. Her bold Alternative Rock has a provocative clarity with flavors of Americana and blues.
Martha’s unique voice as a songwriter and vocalist captivated legendary guitarist and producer Pat Thrall (Pat Travers, Meatloaf + 4 Grammy nominations), and they partnered in 2025 to produce her originals. The second single from this collaboration – I ASKED JESUS & HE SAID NO – released on September 23, 2026.

BE RIGHT BACK is the first of seven singles Martha is creating with producer and legendary guitarist Pat Thrall, (Pat Travers Band, Hughes/Thrall, Meatloaf, Asia, etc.) with credits on nearly 500 albums with 4 Grammy nominations. Clarence Collins (Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Little Anthony & the Imperials) also contributed the vocal arrangement and backing vocals. Released January 16, 2026.
“Be Right Back” … sublime, classic, timeless, and moving …. confidently settles at the intersection of classic rock, pop rock, and alternative rock, evoking the tradition of … names like Sheryl Crow or Bonnie Raitt without becoming a nostalgic replica.
